Steps on Writing Good ISB Essays

ISB essay question plays a very important role in the overall MBA application process to the Indian School of Business (ISB). Admissions committee members use these ISB essay questions to evaluate who you are and what you can bring in the class. If you have already started the application process, then you have definitely noticed that the form captures data of one’s academic record, work experience, and achievements.

ISB Essay questions will give you an opportunity to provide contextfor that raw data, highlight the most important information, and build a convincing argument to be a part of the ISB PGP. In order to start off, the most important thing that you must keep in mind while writing is to answer the questions first. If you don’t answer a question, you are giving incomplete or irrelevant information which can adversely affect your evaluation.

The following tips to answer essay questions to improve your grades.

  • Make sure that you answer every essay question.
  • Make sure that you stay on the topic. Sometimes the students tend to find a related topic and write about it. But, this way you can’t gain any points.
  • Follow the five W’s. Who, what, when, where, and why are all going to be a part of your answer.  In constructing a response to an essay you have to consider each of these aspects of the question.
  • If the school specifies a length for the essay, try to keep your essay close to that length. Writing more can’t give you more points and the school may take off for not following instructions.

ISB essay analysis paper will have to be done by deciding to write on a topic that you are passionate about. The next thing that you have to do is to establish a reason why you want to analyze the topic and you will finally establish a manner for analyzing the subject matter.  You will be given a topic or may be left to select a topic.  If you are given a topic, you must begin by exploring the topic from all angles. The easiest way to make the topic of your own is by questioning the topic.

Make sure that you know the topic and make sure you can conveniently use it to build a good ISB essay analysis. Each of the ISB’s three essays changed since the previous application season, although the application remains focused on the candidates’ achievements and professional goals. With the 300-word limit in place, you have to draft a content-rich essay. Selecting strong anecdotes for the essays is important as you can see the most mileage out of ISB’s 900-word application set.
